I've been fortunate to test and review several robo vacuums and mops, as part of a reviewer program, and while I wasn't sure I would be the best test case for this DREAME Aero Ultra Steam Vacuum & Mop, well, I was wrong! This may be the best addition to my home's cleaning devices. Albeit at a bit of a premium price at the moment, DREAME often offers deals, so keep an eye out.I was quite struck by the rather svelte design of this vacuum and mop combo, and where I truly found it handy was for areas in my home that my robot vacuum couldn't access easily. So, a smaller sunken tiled foyer at the entrance to my home that was two steps lower than my main floor, where I have my DREAME L40S Ultra Robot Vacuum. Having to manually pick up and activate the L40S for a 12ft x 8ft area is more work than it needs to be. And with this lightweight standup Aero Ultra, I can also clean the two steps that are 12ft wide leading down to my foyer. Steps are the one area my robo vacuum can't help with, so the Aero Ultra has been super handy, and I live in a multi-floor home with all hardwood stairs.I was impressed with the 30kPa suction power, which has to be one of the highest I've tested to date. The Aero Ultra's ability to pick up crumbs, dust, hair and liquid in one fell swoop was impressive. This vacuum is easy to operate with one hand thanks to the controls being at your fingertips on the top of the handle and how easily it can be moved in and out of tight spaces, including under bed frames or any furniture around 4" high. It truly glides with ease versus the bulky Hoover vaccuums of my youth. The entire body of the vacuum when the handle is lowered to the floor is just 3.88" high, which is slim when it comes to vacuums. It also doesn't sound like a jet engine when being operated, so if you live in a condo or apartment, you don't need to be concerned with disturbing the neighbours if you do a little early, early morning or late night cleaning.The Aero Ultra is also cordless, with a pretty compact charging station that also acts as the base when self-cleaning to keep the brush clean and ready for the next cleaning. I was impressed by how quickly it does the clean cycle and drying time, which is a fraction of the time of my L40S robot vacuum in comparison. DREAME seems to continuously be innovating and definitely is a brand worth considering if you've been looking for a vacuum that can also mop well. The up to 100 minutes of runtime seems in the ballpark, and I've yet to run out of power.Overall, the DREAME Aero Ultra Steam Vacuum & Mop is an easy recommended buy based on my experience using it for review. While it appears to be the flagship model for DREAME in 2026, with a price that matches that level, also note that DREAME offer numerous models at a variety of price points, so you may find a model that fits your budget based on your battery life expectations, kPa suction power, etc. If you aren't ready to go the robo vacuum route, I think models like the Aero Ultra perhaps even offer more flexibility for cleaning in most households, between multi-surfaces, stairs and smaller, less accessible areas as well.

I recently got the Dreame Aero Ultra Steam Vacuum and Mop, and it has quickly become one of the most convenient floor-cleaning appliances I've used. With active kids in the house, my kitchen floors see constant food spills or foot prints that show when the light hits the floor at a certain angle. I'm pretty impressed so far with how this steam vacuum holds up, compared to my older wired one from a popular brand...This vacuum's flat clearance to clean under low cabinets and under my sofa is really great, though laying it flat drops the dirty water tank capacity because the sensor will trip sooner. Because the water reservoirs sit directly in the floorhead, the centre of gravity is low, and motorized wheels help make it not feel like it weighs a ton (it is quite heavy to lift it up). There's also a neat laser sensor that extends the mopping arm flush against baseboards to clear edges, and the roller automatically cuts wrapped hair to prevent tangles.The steam mode limits the battery runtime to about 15 or 20 minutes... which makes this more for spot cleaning rather than doing a whole floor. Pausing the steam resets the heating cycle to zero, meaning you have to wait for a full reheat. The solution spray trigger also has a slight mechanical lag.After cleaning, the dock uses steam and hot air to wash and dry the roller, which stays hot to the touch afterward. The dirty water tank seals odours in well if you don't want to empty it right away (but I recommend you do)... but the internal debris-separating grid requires a thorough manual rinse to prevent build-up of gunk.

This is a fantastic steam vacuum!I have owned another steam vacuum from another brand for quite some years now. So I was looking forward to seeing how this Dreame steam vacuum compares. The difference is night and day.My old one is at least 2-3x the bulkiness, it's heavy and requires a cord, which makes it a real pain to maneuver. In contrast, this steam vacuum is light, sleek, and runs entirely off the battery, it's amazing how much nicer this one is, to be honest. Although admittedly, the price difference between the two is quite a bit different.The build quality is impressive. It looks high end, feels like a premium product and is very comfortable to use.I put it to work immediately on my hardwood and kitchen floors when I got it, and was very impressed with the results. It heats up very fast and had no trouble picking up any little bit of stuff that was on our floors. Plus it left the tile floor in the kitchen looking cleaner as well.I'm happy with the battery life, too. While I did not push it to the full 100 minutes of claimed runtime, I was able to clean multiple areas without the vacuum dying on me mid job. It is simple to plug in and recharge once you are finished to charge it back up.Overall, super impressed by this Dreame steam vac. Yeah it's pricey, but it's a fantastic machine.

I've used a couple of wet and dry floor cleaners over the years, and this is one of the better ones. What sets it apart is the combination of steam, hot water, and strong suction. It doesn't just push dirt around like a regular mop, it actually leaves the floors looking and feeling clean, and the feeling clean is important to me.There seems to be a trend among some brands to push out multiple similar products which I find creates confusion around the products. This brand has multiple models that do similar functions and it's confusing when it comes time to order such an item.For this particular model the suction is powerful enough to pick up pet hair, crumbs, dust, and everyday messes without having to go over the same spot multiple times. I also like that the roller doesn't get wrapped up with hair very easily, which is a plus if you have pets. Another feature I really like is how flat the machine can go. It slides under couches, beds, and other furniture much more easily than most floor cleaners I've used.Even though it's packed with features, it's surprisingly easy to push around. The powered wheels help move it along, so it doesn't feel heavy, even with a full clean water tank.Like any wet floor cleaner, there's a bit of cleanup afterward. You still have to empty the dirty water tank and rinse a few parts, but the self cleaning function does a good job of cleaning the roller, so maintenance doesn't take long.My only real complaint is that it's a fairly large machine, so you'll need somewhere to store it. It's also not cheap, but you do get a lot for your money and it's a quality brand. It's well built, easy to use, and does an excellent job vacuuming and mopping at the same time. I would definitely order it again.
