Dreame R20 TangleX Cordless Stick Vacuum

I’m a big fan of Dreame products and I already own one of their higher-end Z Series stick vacuums, so I had a good reference point when trying this one. The R20 has very good suction and performs especially well on hard floors. I really like that it automatically adjusts the suction depending on how much dirt it detects. It picks up small things like sugar, rice, and dust very easily. The screen is also really nice and actually has some features that my older, more expensive Dreame doesn’t have. Even though this is a more affordable model, it doesn’t feel like you’re giving up too much.One thing I actually prefer about the R20 is the weight and maneuverability. It’s noticeably lighter than my other Dreame, and that makes a big difference when you’re using it around the house. My other model has a larger and heavier motor and handle, so it can feel a little bulky when moving it around. This one is much easier to maneuver, especially when cleaning around furniture. The battery life also surprised me. I don’t notice any real difference compared to my more expensive Dreame. It lasts about what I would expect from a cordless vacuum: enough to clean my apartment and then put it back on the charger. I’m not saying it lasts exceptionally long or unusually short; it simply lasts what it should, and the fact that I get basically the same battery performance as my more expensive model is a big plus.It also does a very good job on carpets. I don’t have pets, but the bedrooms in my apartment are carpeted and this leaves them looking very clean. Dreame has become a brand I trust because I’ve owned several of their appliances and have always been impressed with the quality. My only complaint is the charging/storage base. Since this is a more affordable model, it uses a wall-mounted bracket instead of the floor-standing base I have with my other Dreame. I personally don’t like having to mount it to the wall and don’t really use it, but I understand the cost difference. Overall, this is an excellent vacuum for the price. You get very good suction, a nice display, good features, comparable battery life to a much more expensive model, and a much lighter and easier-to-handle vacuum.

I used the dreame R20 TangleX on a dim stretch of hard floor. Loose hair had collected beside a dusty patch that blended into the room lighting. The blue light on the head brought the debris into view, so I worked across that spot instead of going back over the whole section. As I moved forward, I could see the dust still ahead of the vacuum at the edge of the light. After a few passes, that area no longer showed loose debris under the blue light.The brush continued through the loose hair without me stopping to clear it. Before I put the vacuum away, I checked the roller. I did not have any hair to pull off it.

Lightweight, super easy attachments and suction galore! I bought this console and very happy with my purchase. Charged the battery up, popped it on and wow! It's quiet and works like a dream. I THOUGHT my carpet was clean until I saw what ended up in the clear canister! Attachments are easy to pop on and off and every button or slot is right where your fingers would be. I'm so happy with this. Best purchase in a long while.

We have a long haired dog and two people in the house with long hair, so every vacuum I've owned has needed scissors taken to the brush roll every couple of weeks. That's the whole reason I wanted to try this one. Three weeks in and I have not had to cut anything off the brush. The hair just feeds through into the bin instead of wrapping.Suction is strong enough that I dropped down to the low setting for most of the house and only bump it up for the rug in the living room, which stretches the battery a lot. The LED screen tells you what mode you're in and how much runtime is left, so there's no guessing. The extendable rod is a nice touch for getting under the couch without crouching, and it converts to a handheld quickly for the stairs and the car.Emptying the bin is a one button drop and it holds enough that I'm not running to the trash every room. It's a little front heavy when you're vacuuming overhead, like cobwebs in a corner, but that's true of every stick vacuum I've used. I'm happy with it and I don't miss my old corded one at all.

So far I am impressed with the suction power and the brush not getting all tangled up with long hair.
