FAQ
Installation, Safety, and Basic Operations
What type of power supply does this oven require?
This product requires a dedicated 240V, 60Hz AC circuit and must be installed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes. Do not use adapters or extension cords. Always ensure the main power supply is switched off before installation.
What are the clearance requirements for the surrounding space during oven installation?
To ensure safety and proper heat dissipation: Do not install the oven directly above a stove, sink, or any other heat source. After installation, keep the ventilation openings at the top, rear, and bottom of the oven completely unobstructed. Do not cover or block them. If cabinets are installed above the oven for storage, only store items that are heat-resistant and used infrequently. Avoid keeping flammable liquids, cleaning agents, or aerosol cans in these cabinets.
Why does the door glass feel hot? Is this normal?
Yes, this is normal. During oven operation—particularly in the lower oven—the door glass, external surfaces, and vented areas around the door will become warm by design. Avoid touching these areas during and after use, and keep children away from the oven.
Is it normal to hear clicking or fan noise during use?
Yes, this is normal. Clicking: This may come from the mechanical thermostat or relays switching the heating elements on and off to maintain temperature. Fan noise: The cooling fan operates during use and may continue running for a period after the oven is turned off to reduce internal temperatures to a safe level. When using microwave functions, the fan may also run to protect electronic components. Metal expansion: During heating and cooling, the oven cavity may produce cracking or popping sounds due to the thermal expansion and contraction of the metal interior. This is normal.
How do I set the clock?
When the oven is powered on for the first time, the display will flash "12:00". You can press the number keys to enter the current time (for example, press "1", "3", "0", "0" for 1:30), then press [START] to confirm. Alternatively, press [Clock] button to enter clock-setting mode, choose either the 12-hour or 24-hour format, and then set the time.
Using the Upper Microwave Oven
Can I use metal containers or aluminum foil in the microwave?
No. Metal reflects microwaves, which can cause arcing (sparks), uneven heating, and potential damage to the microwave oven.
Why does the container become very hot after heating food?
Microwave energy is primarily absorbed by water molecules in food. However, as the food heats up, heat is transferred to the container through conduction. Therefore, always use oven mitts or pot holders when removing heated items.
Can I pop popcorn in the microwave?
Yes. Use only popcorn specifically packaged for microwave use and follow the package instructions closely.
Why do liquids sometimes erupt or boil over suddenly after heating (delayed boiling)?
When liquids are heated in a microwave, they can reach the boiling point without visible bubbling due to surface tension. Any disturbance—such as moving the container or inserting a spoon—may trigger sudden and violent boiling. To ensure safety: Place a non-metal stir stick or spoon in the container while heating liquids. Allow liquids to stand in the microwave briefly after heating before removing them. Use containers with wide openings, and avoid narrow-necked bottles or jars.
Using the Lower Oven
Does the oven need preheating? Which functions require it?
Most baking/roasting functions require preheating. Preheating is required for Bake, Conv Bake, Conv Roast, and Pizza modes. An audible tone will sound once preheating is complete. Preheating is not required for Air Fry, Broil, and Keep Warm modes.
What are the benefits of the Convection function?
The convection function uses a fan to circulate hot air evenly inside the oven cavity, offering the following advantages: More even heating and better browning. Well suited for baking pastries, cookies, and for roasting chicken, meat, and similar dishes.
Is the Air Fry function the same as using a traditional air fryer?
The principle is similar, both use rapidly circulating hot air to crisp the surface of food. When using the Air Frying function on this oven: No preheating is required. You can start cooking immediately. Use the provided air fry basket or a dark baking sheet to promote browning. Place a baking tray under the basket to catch drippings. For best results, lightly coat the food with a thin layer of oil before cooking.
Can I use the food probe? How do I use it?
Yes. The probe is compatible with the Bake, Conv Bake, and Conv Roast modes in the lower oven. Insert the probe into the thickest part of the food, avoiding contact with bones or fat. Connect the probe to the socket on the inner wall of the oven cavity. Select your desired cooking mode, then set the internal target temperature you wish the food to reach (e.g., 165°F for chicken). Next, set the oven temperature. Press [START]. The oven will automatically stop when the food reaches the target temperature or when the preset cooking time ends, whichever occurs first.
Cleaning and Maintenance
How do I use the Self-Clean function?
The Self-Clean cycle uses extremely high temperatures to turn grease and residue into ash. It is essential to follow the instructions carefully when using this function.
How do I clean stainless steel surfaces and the glass door?
Stainless steel surfaces: Clean with mild soapy water and wipe dry following the direction of the grain. You may also use specialized stainless steel cleaners. Avoid steel wool, abrasive powders, or chlorine-based cleaners. Glass door: Clean with a glass cleaner or mild soapy water. Do not use blades, steel wool, or any sharp or abrasive tools, as they can scratch the glass.
Troubleshooting
What should I do if an "F"-series error code (such as F3E1) appears on the display?
This indicates that the oven has detected a fault. Try the following steps: Press the [CLEAR/OFF] button to clear the code. Turn off the oven at the circuit breaker, wait 5 minutes, and then restore power. Try operating the oven again. If the error code reappears, please record the complete code and contact after‑sales service. Do not continue using the oven while an error code is displayed.
What should I do if the oven has no power and the display is off?
Please check the following: Verify whether other appliances in your home have power to rule out a general power outage. Check if the dedicated circuit breaker has tripped. Reset the breaker if necessary. Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into the outlet. If the issue persists, it is recommended to contact after‑sales service for a professional inspection.
Why is food cooked unevenly or not thoroughly?
Possible causes include: Incorrect rack position: Refer to the user manual for the recommended rack position and food placement. Unsuitable cookware: For example, oversized pans may obstruct airflow (especially important for convection cooking). Failure to preheat or insufficient preheating (for functions that require preheating).
Is it normal to see steam escaping from the edges of the door when using the microwave function?
Yes, this is normal. The steam generated during cooking is designed to escape through the built‑in exhaust openings. This does not indicate microwave leakage. Simply wipe away any moisture with a soft cloth after use.
What should I do if the control panel keys are unresponsive or locked?
The Control Lock feature may be enabled. Check if a lock icon is displayed. To unlock, press and hold [Settings] button for about 3 seconds, until the icon disappears. The Control Lock helps prevent accidental operation, such as by children.
