Dreame R20 Pure Cordless Stick Vacuum-Membership

I am VERY impressed by this vacuum. I have a few other handheld vacuums of various quality, and this is by far the best I have yet without getting into the higherpriced (over hyped brand) that exceeds $1000. This vacuum is so nice to have and does a very good job at vacuuming.

The vacuum is fairly lightweight and durable. It's easy to charge and operate. The vacuum is essentially a trigger operated VS a on and off switch, so just pull the trigger and the vacuum powers right up. There are various suction power options from low, medium to high. The default seems to be a medium power that does quite well as it is.

What I really love about this vacuum and the wider floor attachment is the lighting. This is great to showing what debris and dirt are on your tile surfaces and helps to really contrast what remains in comparison to where you already vacuumed. This is huge for me, as most of the time I'm left guessing. This really helps to seek out the dirt and helps you see it. Absolutely love it.

The charge takes about 3.5 hours to charge, and the battery life is decent, though expect an average size room to eat about 30% of the battery by the time you get the bulk of the room vacuumed. The only downside is the battery will drain as a you use it, and I anticipate that if you are a professional cleaner that relies on cleaning large homes in one go, this vacuum might pose a challenge in staying charged, especially if you are cleaning multiple homes.
Otherwise, this is a GREAT vacuum for appartments and bedrooms and for having around the house for spot cleaning and general light duty vacuuming. I suspect you might be able to do an average 2-3 bedroom home by the time the battery dies.

The attachements are nice and offer a brush like slider that allows for a soft bristle dirt brush and nozzle. I like the adapter that allows the vacuum tube to be angled where you can reach under couches and hard to reach places without needing to move furniture (if it fits under). There is a smaller roller attachement that is great for "dust buster" like functionality, and would be perfect for car cleaning and detailing, though a hose attachement would be come in handy for tight detailing jobs, but what comes with this works well for the most part.

The value is very attractive given the fact that this compares very closely to some of the $1000 vacuums on the market. The quality is well built and reflects this price value.

I am happy to have an upgrade in my cleaning toolset, as we have a lot of cats and long haired residents in this house. I find the floor/carpet attachement has a silicone feeling type of "bristles" that are not bristles... So hair tanglement is minimal and doesn't get trapped like some of the brush like rollers. PERFECT!

I’m really pleased with how this vacuum performs. I already own a few handheld and stick vacuums, including one from a very well-known brand, but this one quickly became my go-to. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and comes with a great set of accessories. The trigger-style power button is responsive and intuitive, and while I saw someone mention having to hold it down constantly, the instructions clearly explain how to activate the lock button so you don’t have to keep holding it. Definitely take a moment to look through the manual.

The suction is strong across all three power levels. I typically use the medium setting on hard floors, and it has no trouble picking up pet hair, dirt, and dust. When I move to carpet, I switch it to high power and it pulls up far more debris than I expected, especially in a house with pets. Emptying the bin is simple and doesn’t involve any disassembly, which I really appreciate.

One of my favorite features is the blue LED lighting on the main floor attachment. I’m honestly floored (get the pun?) at how well it lights up dirt and debris across the floor. I had no idea I had that much dust and debris on the floor - that's even after my robot vacuum has made a few swipes! This vacuum makes it very easy to see where you’ve vacuumed and where you still need to go. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big impact and really sets this vacuum apart from others I’ve used. I've never seen another vacuum have a light that illuminated the debris on the floor like this one.

It’s also very comfortable to maneuver and feels well balanced in hand. The flexible extension makes it easy to get under furniture, and the included attachments work well for corners and upholstery. There is also a flexible extension under the handle which makes it easier to vacuum at a comfortable angle. I also like that the roller is designed to prevent hair from getting wrapped up in it. Battery life is solid for everyday use or quick cleanups. If you’re tackling a bigger space on the highest power setting, you might need to recharge partway through.

All in all, this vacuum feels well made, performs beautifully, and has a smart, thoughtful design. It doesn’t feel like a budget model at all and performs more like a higher-end vacuum without the hefty price. I would buy this over any other well known named stick vac on the market.

If this was billed just for hardwood, I would give it 5 stars. But the fact that it claims to be able to do carpets is just incorrect. I had nothing but good things to say until I decided to try it on a rug. It would not work at all. End of story. I put it on the lowest suction and set it to rug mode, and it just died every time.
Here is why it's still getting 4 stars. On hardwood, it is amazing. The light on the attachment highlights every bit of dirt and dust. I had just finished running my robot and the floor looked good until I pointed the light on this vacuum at the floor, and then it looked like it hadn't been vacuumed at all. And this cleaner was great at picking up everything.
The battery indicator is misleading. It looks like it's losing power way faster than it is. I was able to run it over 1500 square feet on one charge. And it still had charge.
I wouldn't call it lightweight either. The main cleaner comes it at 3.8 pounds. I can use it, but it's too hard for my mother to use it. I have another one that's around 2.8 pounds and it's amazing the difference that one pound makes.
But it's worth every penny for the hardwood cleaning. Shame about the carpets. My search will continue. At the moment, I have to content myself with shaking them out, because having tried six different vacuum cleaners, I'm not satisfied yet on that front. At least my robots don't shut down when they go over the carpet, so that's better than nothing.
I also like how straightforward opening and closing and attaching and unattaching is. I didn't need instructions to figure it out, and that's pretty impressive for me.
If you want hardwood or tile clean, this might be the vacuum for you.

I am impressed with this vacuum. I have a dog that sheds quite a bit and it was able to pick up the fur that was on the carpet and the couch and it did not get clogged. It is a very durable vacuum. It��s lightweight so I can lift it without struggling. I love that it is quiet unlike the previous vacuum I��ve had. Having a cordless vacuum is life-changing!

I used chat gpt to help me figure out which cordless vacuum to purchase. I chose this one because the price point was reasonable and it had great reviews but I chose it particularly because of its supposed battery power. However, when using on its full power mode the battery lasts less than 15 mins. Additionally the suction is less powerful than I was expecting. I was expectant and unfortunately not satisfied overall.
