Dreame Z20 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

Dream Z20 is impressive. Let's start first with the box's exterior. It is absolutely fabulous--- it is so informative with great visuals of all the features. The main three units consist of a dust removal hub, the vacuum body, and an extension rod. There are some interesting attachments as well. The attachments are mounted on an attachment stand for storage. The illuminating Omni-brush roller brush that has a blue LED light in the front and makes finding dust and dirt quite easy. I absolutely LOVE this feature!! Also on the bottom of the brush there are two small front wheels and one larger wheel in the back, which help it maneuver well on rugs, tiles and wooden floors. I am able to attach the brush to the extension rod then the extension rod to the vacuum's body and place all 3 parts onto the dust removal hub for storage. The second attachment is a small mini brush attachment that is powerful because it is motorized and intended for sofas, chairs and for car interiors. it also does a great job on the stairs! There is another separate attachment--a flexible adaptor which not only extends the mini roller brush but is flexible and helps it bend around corners. I am able to attach this mini tool directly to the vacuum's body to do the stairs or the car interior. I keep both the mini brush and the black flexible adaptor together and store them in the attachment stand. There are instructions in the manual on how to clean both Omni-brush and the mini brushes when they get dirty. The extension rod attaches easily to these brushes roller by aligning the pins and then attaching the extension rod to the main vacuum body again, remembering to again align the pins. You will know if the connection is not correct because the roller will not turn and the light will not go on; in such a case, just unsnap and realign. The third attachment is a retractable brush/corner combination attachment that is so clever. It is two attachments in one-- a brush attachment and a corner attachment. Also it can be store perfectly in the attachment stand The main vacuum body comes with a rechargeable lithium battery pack which is stated to last up to 90 minutes, but realistically, the power level used will determine the life of the charge. To recharge the battery I attach the entire vacuum body with the attached battery to the dust collecting hub. The battery recharges in about 3.5 hours. There are 3 speed modes: lower speed "eco" (symbol-a leaf) and with almost 90 minutes of vacuuming time, medium speed "auto" (symbol "A" with a circle) and fastest speed "turbo" (symbol a fan) which will give you around 35 minutes of vacuuming time. The dust removal hub is so interesting. This tall and and somewhat awkward hub must be located near to an electric power source so that the power cord is able to charge the battery. This is where the vacuum cleaner dust collecting button is located. Once you press the button it will discharge all the dust and dirt right from the vacuum body's dust tank directly into a dust collecting bag in the hub. You don't need to empty your dust tank into the trash can. You don't have to touch it or breathe all that dust.

Great product. The plastic joint could be more steady, and it was a bit difficult to secure it on the station

My sister has been staying with me lately and she brought her Dyson cordless with her, so I had been using that and thinking maybe I should get one for myself--prior to receiving this Dreame vacuum! The Dyson Vortex is a great vacuum but this *very* similar Dreame vac has a few more advantages as far as I can tell.The main advantage the Dreame vacuum has over the Dyson is that the multi-surface head has the illumination feature, while the Dyson only has that feature for the hard surface attachment. Since I have rugs, carpets, and tile floors, I only use the multi-surface head rather than switching back and forth and I love being able to see all the dust and debris before it gets sucked up. So satisfying!My sister really loves vacuuming and has worked as a professional housekeeper for many years, and I take seriously her input on this subject matter. She really likes the floor mount for the Dreame vacuum more than the wall mount because it has several slots for the attachments, where the Dyson doesn't have any storage features. It's also annoying having to install the wall mount because it pretty much requires wall anchors and the one spot I can put the (Dyson) vacuum has really thin drywall (which I did for her when she arrived). SO that is another advantage this Dreame vacuum has over the Dyson.A third advantage is that you don't have to press the button the whole time--you just hit the power button and it keeps on vacuuming until you turn it off, unlike the Dyson which can make your fingers pretty tired if you have a lot of vacuuming to do. I like to save my fingers for non-housekeeping activities!It's a great vacuum and I really love that it's cordless. I had a vintage Kirby vacuum prior to this and it worked great but was so heavy to move around and I always had to hold the cord up so I didn't vacuum over it. It also required disposable vacuum bags and new belts and brushes every so often. This Dream vacuum does require more frequent emptying but it's really easy to just push the button and empty it into the trash. It's so light and maneuverable and doesn't wreck the legs of my furniture. I can also lay it flat to vacuum under consoles and furniture, which I never could have done before.I am not too ken on technical specs so there may be reasons why someone might prefer the Dyson but for my needs, I am really happy with this Dreame vacuum. If any major issues pop up I will update my review, but so far soooo good! Hope this helps.

This is not my first cordless vacuum, but it's definitely the BEST cordless vacuum I've ever had. I can't compare it to Dyson cordless, but I do believe it's as good or slightly better than my Dyson Animal 2. My carpet needs to be replaced thanks to kids and pets and years of wear, but this actually raised the nap in some areas. At it's highest power level I can feel it suction to the carpet. It also works great on hard floors and picks up spilled litter in one pass. It advertises it has a battery life of 90 minutes on low or eco, and I haven't noticed the battery percentage drop much, but I use it at it's highest setting and it hurts to see the percentage drop 1% every few seconds. Comes with it's own stand-it's located under all the packaging. It's a heavy flat base that has places for three attachments while the vacuum has nine, eight if you put it on the base with an attachment already in place. Main unit feels heavy when just carrying, but is a good weight once in use.There isn't much information about this particular model on Dreame's website so I don't know if replacement parts are available or if they're the same as other company's and interchangeable. When ordered, this vacuum was listed as $699- I wasn't expecting that and saw "cordless vacuum!" and ordered it thinking my high school senior could use it next semester at college. No. It's not leaving this house anytime soon. Within days of ordering it had dropped $100 making it $599. I'm not sure why the huge fluctuations or high initial price, but I worry the price is somewhat of a gimmick.All in all I would say this is an impressive vacuum with impressive attachments especially the one that allows me to vacuum under my bed, but the pricing is a little off putting and I would like to be able to find replacement parts like filters to have on hand.

I have bought numerous vacuums over the years. I've got an expensive Kirby (15 years old) that still runs fine. But it's heavy, bulky and I'm constricted by the cord.My kind husband ordered a cordless stick vacuum about 6 months ago for about $140. Good for quick clean ups, lighter weight, etc. It was fine...or so I thought.Then I encountered the opportunity for the Dreame T20 cordless stick vacuum. I must admit, even though I've spent decent money on a vacuum before (the Kirby), the $500 price tag had me a little nervous. Could the vacuum justify the sticker price?Let me stop here and say...I live with three sons, two dogs, and a husband. There are ALWAYS crumbs, dust, hair, and other random, unidentified things on the floor. I also have a combination of carpets and hardwood floors.I cannot believe how amazing this vacuum is! Seriously. I know it's a vacuum. But I love this appliance. I have no cons, but I will highlight the things that make this vacuum worth the price point.- the CelesTect LED lighting shows the dust, etc. as I've never seen it illuminated with other vacuums with white lights.- the power is incredible. With a single pass, the crumbs and dust were picked up!- the auto detection really does adjust to the mess.- the attachments are actually useful and very effective.- easy to change the attachments and use / not use the extension- doesn't lose power with the extension- works great on carpet and hard floors- has the ability to use the attachments without the extension, making it easy to use for stairs, under furniture, and more- easy to adjust the speed and see the battery life- the stand holds the stick vacuum and it's attachments well, making it stable and easy to use.Worth every penny. Pass on the Dyson / Shark debate and get a Dreame!
